The Firm

Gilbert Paolo M. Ocampo (Managing Partner)

SALUDO TALEON OCAMPO & ASSOCIATES LAW OFFICES has always operated on the principle that an organization sustained by the trust and patronage of others carries a moral obligation to give its very best at all times. We recognize that the value of any legal service is ultimately defined by those who seek it—and that each client is entitled to the full measure of their counsel’s dedication, knowledge, experience, and perspective.

The relationship between lawyer and client is built on absolute trust and confidentiality. It requires not only professional competence but also full concern, undivided attention, and consistent availability. This standard of service is not episodic; it is the product of daily effort and long-term commitment.

Professionalism, in our view, demands continuous learning. We believe that no legal service organization can remain relevant without the ongoing refinement of its skills and the readiness to engage with change. In this spirit, we place importance on our ability to adapt—not only to developments in law but also to advancements in technology that affect the practice and delivery of legal services.

Our more than 60-year history is rooted in this philosophy, supported by the integrity of our work and the strength of the lawyers who carry it forward. We continue to measure our performance by our commitment to professional excellence, the quality of our service, and the trust placed in us by our clients.

1960s – Founding and Early Years

The firm was established in the early 1960s under the name DAZA, LEDESMA, SALUDO & ASSOCIATES LAW OFFICES by a group of practitioners who shared a common commitment to legal service grounded in integrity, competence, and dedication. From its modest beginnings, the firm focused on providing legal support in both litigation and corporate matters, building a foundation of trust among its early clients.

1970s to 1980s – Expansion and Recognition

Over the next two decades, the firm grew steadily in size and reputation. It expanded its areas of practice, taking on more complex civil, criminal, and commercial cases, as well as advisory roles for corporate clients. This period was marked by growing recognition in the legal community and long-term relationships with both individual and institutional clients.

1990s to 2000s – Institutional Development

As the firm entered its third and fourth decades, now operating under the name SALUDO AGPALO FERNANDEZ & AQUINO with the firm becoming well-known as SAFA Law. Following the deaths of key partners Ruben E. Agpalo and Amado A. Aquino, the firm adopted the name SALUDO FERNANDEZ TALEON & ASSOCIATES. It undertook internal restructuring to respond to the increasingly specialized nature of legal work. Practice areas were formalized and integrated, allowing for more efficient coordination among teams. The firm also strengthened its focus on continuing legal education and professional development for its lawyers.

2010s – Adapting to Modern Challenges

The firm began embracing the challenges of a rapidly evolving legal landscape, including increased regulatory complexity and technological shifts in the practice of law. It invested in legal research tools, digital resources, and secure communication systems to enhance client service and confidentiality. During this time, the firm also began advising on matters involving emerging industries and cross-border transactions.

2020s – Present and Future Direction

Today, with over 60 years of experience, the firm, now known as SALUDO TALEON OCAMPO & ASSOCIATES LAW OFFICES, remains committed to its founding values while staying responsive to the needs of the present. Under the leadership of the newly appointed managing partner, Atty. Gilbert Paolo M. Ocampo, SAFA Law continues to adapt to legal and technological developments, ensuring that its services remain relevant and effective.
